briefing
A high-quality CGI motif was required for the product launch of the new SCHOTT ROBAX® NighFlame fire viewing panel in the curved version.
The special fire viewing panel made of semi-transparent black glass-ceramic shows a familiar atmospheric play of flames when switched on. When switched off, however, it conceals ash and soot - as a discreet privacy screen in a modern design. The aim was to capture the special aesthetics of the semi-transparent pane and thus create a harmonious blend of warmth, elegance and modern design.
implementation
A 3D model of a modern fireplace was created from the CAD data of the curved SCHOTT ROBAX® NighFlame. When creating the full CGI motif, it was important to create an upscale ambience and modern lifestyle. In contrast to the existing visual, a man and a dog were to take centre stage. The first step was to determine the perspective and arrangement, then create the room elements and furniture. The characters were then worked out before the various lighting moods were impressively staged in compositing in the final step.
